For the prevention and treatment of deforming scars and use on open wounds and lying skin. Stratamed is a non-sticky and transparent silicone self-stabilizing gel for the prevention and treatment of deforming scars in the form of hypertrophic scars and keloids.

Stratamed can be applied to any fresh surgical incision or excision, open wound and cutaneous scalp, peeling, scratches, and radiotherapy superficial burns. Stratamed is suitable for exposed areas such as face and neck, but also for areas such as joints and areas covered by scalp without the need for hair removal. Stratamed can be used with or without protective liner.

When properly used, Stratamed quickly dries out creating a silicone thin sheet, a protective semipermeable membrane. It regulates wound moisture and gas exchange and protects the affected skin or open wounds from chemical and microbial infiltration, allowing for the normalization of the collagen production process in the scar and eventually normal healing.
